ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಈ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹುಡುಗನಿಂದ ಅತ್ಹ್ಮಿಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತ. ಇದೆ ಶನಿವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ೬.೩೦ ಕ್ಕೆ (ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೬) ಹನುಮಂತ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆ.ಹೆಚ್.ಕಲಾಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಚಾರಣ ತಂಡ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ತಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಮೇತರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಯುವ ಸಂಗೀತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳ್ಳನ್ನ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸ ಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಸವಿನಯ ಕೋರಿಕೆ.

ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಮಿಲನದ ಸಡಗರ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲೇ ಎಂದು ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ದಿನವಾಗಿ ಮನಃಪಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ.... ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಗೆಳೆಯರು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ( ನನಗೆ ಬರೆಯಲು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿರುವ ಪದಪುಂಜ ಸಾಲದೇ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ಷೆಮೆಯಿರಲಿ)...

ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆನ್ನು-ಪೇಪರ್ ಬ್ಲಾಗಿನ ಅನಿಲ್ ಬೆಡಗೆ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿರುವ ಕೆಲವು ಫೋಟೋಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಆನಂದಿಸಿ....

ನನಗೆ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಫಿಯಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೀಳನ್ನ (ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನ) ಹೆಚ್ಹಿಸಿದ ಛಾಯಕನ್ನಡಿಯ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ಹಾಗು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ಮಹೇಶನಿಗೆ ಅನಂತಕೋಟಿ ನಮನಗಳು. ತನ್ನ ಅಗಾದ ಅಂದವನ್ನ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಮಾತೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ. ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಫಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಈಗ ತಾನೇ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಕೂಸು . ನಾ ತೆಗೆದ ಕೆಲವು ಫೋಟೋಗಳ್ಳನ್ನ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಆತ್ಮಿಯ ಗೆಳೆಯರಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. ನಾನು ಏನೇ ಗೀಚಿದರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಮೆಂಟ್ ಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗೀಚಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ (ಕುಟುಂಬದ) ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳು. naveenanindian.blogspot.com ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಪ್ರಪಂಚಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಗಳ್ಳನ್ನ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ.
ಅದೇನೋ ಸರಿ, ನನಗೋ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹುಡುಗ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ತರಹದ ಹಪಾಹಪಿ. ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಹಕ್ಕು ನನಗೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಬಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. (ಜಾಗತಿಕಾರಣದ ಹೊಡೆತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಆಗಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದುಃಖದ ಮಡುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೂಡಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ- ಇದು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಾರಣ).
ಆದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಬ್ಲಾಗಿಗೆ ಮರು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿರ್ದರಿಸಿ
ಹಲವು ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನ ಹುಡುಕುತಿದ್ದಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಹೊಳೆದಿದ್ದು ಈ ಹೆಸರು ಹಳ್ಳಿಹುಡುಗನಮಾತು(hallihuduganamaathu).

ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಹೊಸವರ್ಷವು ಶುಭತರಲೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಮೊದಲ ಅಂಕಣವನ್ನ, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ (ಗೆಳೆಯ, ಸಹೋದರ ) ಜಯ ಭಾರ್ಗವ್ ನನಗಾಗಿ ರಚಿಸಿರುವ ಕವನ ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು ಭಾರ್ಗವ್...

ಇಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದವರು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.. ಅದೇನೋ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಕಂಡರಿಯದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಸಡಗರ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಲೋಕದ ಮಿತ್ರರನೇಕರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಮೂರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದವರೇ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೂ ವಿಶೇಷ. ಪ್ರಕಾಶಣ್ಣನ " ಹೆಸರೇ ಬೇಡ" ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಅಂಕಣಕಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೀ.ಏನ್. ಮೋಹನ್ ರವರು, ಶಿವಣ್ಣನ " ವೆಂಡರ್ ಕಣ್ಣು" ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ರವರು ಮತ್ತು ದಿವಾಕರ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ರವರ " ಉದ್ದಾರ -ಸಂತೆ" ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನುಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ವಿ. ರಾಜಾರಾಂ ರವರು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಯಾರಾದರು ಲೇಖಕರೋ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳೋ ಬರೆದಿದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಹ ವಿಶೇಷವೇನು ಇರುತ್ತಿರಲ್ಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಈಗ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇಬ್ಬರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಹಾಗು ನಮ್ಮೆಲರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯ ಚಿಲುಮೆಯನ್ನ ಚಿಮ್ಮುವಂಥಹವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ಉಳ್ಳವರು..
ಅವರ ಅನುಮತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಯಾಚಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಒಬ್ಬ ದಿನಗೂಲಿ ನೌಕರನ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿ, ಸಣ್ಣ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾಬ್ಯಾಸ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತ ಪೇಪರ್ ಹಾಕುವ ಹುಡುಗನಾಗಿ ದುಡಿಯಲು ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿ, ನಂತರ ಅದ್ದನ್ನೇ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಂದು ಪೇಪರ್ ಏಜೆಂಟ್ ಆಗಿ, ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಾಫ್ ಆಗಿ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಗಳಿಸಿರುವ, ಹಲವಾರು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಲೇಖನ ಗಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಇವರು, ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಕರ್ತೃಗಳಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇ ಒಂದು ಅವಿಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ವಿಷಯ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತಾವು ಬರೆಯುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಗಳ್ಳನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೋ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋ, ತಂದೆ- ತಾಯಿಯವರಿಗೋ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಸರ್ವೇ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ, ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ತಾನು ಬರೆದ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿರುವುದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ಎಂಥವುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

ಪ್ರಿಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆ... ನಾನಿಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಹೊಸದೇನಲ್ಲ.... ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ವಿಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ( ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಅಟ್ಟಹಾಸಕ್ಕೆ) ಸಿಲುಕಿ ನೆರೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ (ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ) ಅನೇಕ ಜೀವಗಳು ನರಳುತ್ತಿವೆ... ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೆರೆಯು ಹೊರೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಅದಮ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ.. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸರಿಯೆನಿಸಿದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸ ಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿ..

ಚಕ್ಷುರುನಿರ್ಮಿಲಿತಂ ಏನ್ ತಸ್ಮೈ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುವೇ ನಮಃ"
ಅರ್ಥ : ಅಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕತ್ತಲಿನಿಂದ ಕುರುಡಾಗಿದ್ದವನ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬ ದೀಪದಿಂದ ತೆರೆಸಿದ ಗುರುವಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳು.

ಗುರಿ ಇರ ಬೇಕು ಮುಂದೆ ಗುರು ಇರಬೇಕು ಹಿಂದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸತ್ಯವಲ್ಲವೇ.... ಈ ದಡ್ಡನಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಅನಂಥಕೋಟಿ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಹಾಗು ಶಿಕ್ಷರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು .ಇಂದು ನಾನೇನಾದರೂ ಸಾದಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿ ತೀಡಿ ತಿದ್ದಿದಂತಹ ನನ್ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಅದಮ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ.
ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೀಳಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಜನೆರೆಡೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಈ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು. ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೧೫ ಎಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ರೋಮಾಂಚನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ .ಶಾಲಾ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳುತಿದ್ದೆ. ಶಾಲೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ನಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಯಾವುದಾದರು ಶಾಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಕ ವೀಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ದಿನಗಳ ಸವಿ ಸವಿ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ನಂತರದ ಮೊದಲ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯದ್ದರಿಂದ ಏನಾದರೂ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆನಿಸಿತು. ಆದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಅ ಆ ಇ ಈ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಶಾಲಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಫೋನಾಯಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನೇ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು ( ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜನವರು ಆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಹೇಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ). ಕಳೆದ ಶ್ಯೆಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಫೋನ್ ಇಟ್ಟೆ. ವಾರದ ಹಿಂದೆಯ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾದ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆಷ್ಟು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಲೇಖನ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರಿದಿಸಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಡೆ.

ಇಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ೮:೦೦ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ದ್ವಜರೋಹಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಿತ್ತು. ನೆನ್ನೆ ಸುರಿದ ದಾರಕರ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ದತೆಗಳು ನೀರುಪಾಲಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆದರೂ ಸಹ ಕಂಗೆಡದೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಿದ್ದವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ಸರಾಗವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಭಾತ್ ಫೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದಾಗ ಏನೋ ಕಂಡರಿಯದ ಖುಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಸ್ಸು ತೇಲುತಿತ್ತು..

ಸುಮಾರು ೧೦೦೦ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನ ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ೨೦೦ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಸಿ ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಸುಖವಾಗಿರಲೆಂದು ಹೋರಾಡಿ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಂತಹ ಈ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಬೆಲೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀವೆಯೇ ಎನ್ನುವ ಪ್ರೆಶ್ನೆ???

ಹಗಲು ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆನ್ನದೆ, ಚಳಿ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಗಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷಣವು ಸಾವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಯಾರಿಗಾಗಿಯೋ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಸಿ ಭಾರತಮಾತೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಾ ಕವಚವಾಗಿ ದುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಯೋಧ ಸಹೋದರರ ಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಬೆಲೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀವೆಯೇ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರೆಶ್ನೆ???

ಬೆಳ್ಳಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದೊಡನೆ ಕರೆಂಟ್ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಬಾರದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮನೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಸ ತೆಗೆಯುವವ ಬಾರದಿದ್ದರೆ, ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಗುಂಡಿ ಕಂಡರೆ, ಬಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ರಶ್ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಥವಾ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನೇ ಹಿಯಾಳಿಸುತ್ತ ಕೂರುವ ಮಾಹಾನುಭಾವರನ್ನ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಏನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವ ಆಸೆ???

ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇರುವ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನ ನೋಡಿದ ನಂತರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸೇನಾದರು ಕಲುಕಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅನ್ಯ ಮಗುವಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಬ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗಿ...

ನಮಸ್ತೆ
ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಾಕಿ ಸಲುಹಿದ ಹಾಗು ಸಲುಹುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರೆಂಬ ಮಹಾ(ಯಾ)ನಗರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ವಂದನೆಗಳು. ರೈತನಾಗ ಬಯಸಿದ್ದವನನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದ ಇ-ಊರಿಗೆ ಜೈ ಹೋ.

ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಿದ್ದಗಲಿಂದಲೂ ರೈತನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬ ತುಡಿತ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಆಸೆಯಂತೆ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಆಗಲು ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ೧೯೯೯ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೨ ರಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಇವನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹೈದ( ನನ್ನ ಗೆಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಹಪಾಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗುಗ್ಗು). ಮೊದ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯವನೆಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಲು ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಸಹಪಾಟಿಗಳು ನಂತರ ಒಬ್ಬಬರಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದರು.

ಅಷ್ಟೇನೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಲ್ಲದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರದ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಅಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ. ದೊರೆತ ಸಾಫ್ಟವೇರ್ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಯುದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅದೇ ಕಾರಣ.

ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೆಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ.

ಮುಂದೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ರೈತನಾಗುವೆನೆಂಬ ಆಶಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ....

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಶಾಲಾ ಮೇಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮಗ ಎಂಥಹ ಮಹಾನ್ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ನೋಡಲು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸಿಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿ. ೨೮ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕನಸು ಕಂಡದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಇಂದು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ಬಾಳುವ , ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ಭಾರತ ಮಾತೆಯ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಪತಾಕೆಯನ್ನ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದೆಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಪಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಪುತ್ರ ರತ್ನ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯಾವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರಿಗೂ ಜೈ ಹೋ .

೧೯೯೯ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಡಿಪ್ಲೋಮಾ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳ್ಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಸೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನದಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿತ್ತು .(ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ).

ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ೫ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿದಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಗ ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ಕಂಡರಿಯದ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಜೂನ್ ೨೨ ರಿಂದ ೨೬ ರವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಹೊಸ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಂಡೆ. ಇತರೆ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃಂದದ ಪರಿಚಯವು ಆಯಿತು.

ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲ್ಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಬೇಕಿದ್ದರೂ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೊದಗಿಸ ಬಲ್ಲಂತಹ: ಶಕ್ತಿ ಗೂಗಲ್ ಗೆ ಇದೆ. ಮಗುವಿನಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಮುದುಕರವರಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳಿದಾಡುವ ಪದ google.com. ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿನ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲತೆಯನ್ನ ನಾಶ ಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂಬಂಥ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೂ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಗಣಕ ಲೋಕದ ದಿಗ್ಗಜ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಗೂಗಲ್ ನ್ನು ಸಡ್ಡು ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಅದ್ದಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಹಿನ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ "Bing.com" ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದೆ. google ಅನ್ನು ಸಡ್ಡು ಹೊಡಿದಿತೆ Bing ಎಂದು ಕಾದು ನೋಡಬೇಕು.. ಏನೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಗೆ ಶುಭ ಹರಿಸೋಣ .......

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಲೇಖನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಚಾಯಕನ್ನಡಿಯ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ಬರೆದ ಕಾಮೆಂಟ್ ಓದಿದ ನಂತರ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿನಗಳ ನೆನಪಿನ ಅಂಗಳವನ್ನು ಕೆಥಕಿ ಒಂದು ಲೇಖನ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕೆನಿಸಿತು.
ನಾನು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ( 5 ರಿಂದ ೭ನೆ ತರಗತಿ) ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಯಾವುದಾದರು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲು ನಮ್ಮುರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ( ಏಕೈಕ) ಚಿತ್ರ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯುತ್ತಿದರು. ಎರಡು ವಾರಗಳ ಮೊದಲೇ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಹಾಗು ಸಮಯ ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿತು. ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನ ಬೆಲೆ ೨ ರುಪಾಯಿ ಇದ್ದರೇ ನಾನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿ ೪ ರುಪಾಯಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
ನಾವು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಮಾತು ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತೆ ಇರುತ್ತಿತು. ಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ವಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅದೊಂದೇ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಚಿತ್ರ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಏನೇನು ತಿಂಡಿ ತಿನಿಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಯ್ಯಬೇಕು, ಯಾರ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಕೂರಬೇಕು ( ನಾನು ಕೂರುತಿತುದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ಗೆಳತಿ ಲಾವಣ್ಯ ಳ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ) ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳು. ಚಿತ್ರ ವಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬಂದ ನಂತರವು ಅದೇ ಗುಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ದಿನ ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು.ನಾವು ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳೆಂದರೆ "ನಾಗರ ಹೊಳೆ", "ಹುಲಿಯ ಹಾಲಿನ ಮೇವು" ಮತ್ತು "ಗಂಧದ ಗುಡಿ".

ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಶನಿವಾರ(೩೦-ಮೇ-೦೯) ಈಶ್ವರಿ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೊ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದು "ಸತ್ಯಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ" ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಕಪ್ಪು-ಬಿಳುಪು ಅವತರಿನಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಾರಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದರು ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಅವತರಿನಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ..
ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ೮:೦೦ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಬಹುಶ: ಹುಡುಗರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಊಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಕಾದಿತ್ತು. ಅಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು..
ಚಿತ್ರ ಶುರುಅದಗಲಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಹುಡುಗರ ಅಬ್ಬರ, ಚೀರಾಟ, ಶಿಳ್ಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಯಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. "ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀಳ್ಯಾವುದೋ" ಹಾಡು ಶುರುವಾದಾಗಲಂತೂ ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬಾ, ಕುಣಿಥವೋ ಕುಣಿತ...

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ಇತ್ತಿಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂಗಳು, ಬುಷ್ ನಿಂದ ಇಡಿದು ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಕೆಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಚಾರ ತಿಳಿದೆ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ಶೂ ಅನ್ನು ಕಥಾವಸ್ತುವಗಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಂದು ಅರ್ಥ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನ ಇರಾನಿನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಜಿದ್ ಮಜಿದ್ಹಿ ಯವರು ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. children of heaven ಎಂಬ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆ.

ಇರಾನಿನ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಬಡ ಕುಟುಂಬ. ತಂಗಿಯ ಹರಿದ ಶೂ ಅನ್ನು ಅಣ್ಣ ಹೊಲಿಸಲು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಶೂ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಣವಿಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದರಿತು ಅಣ್ಣನ ಶೂವನ್ನೇ ತಂಗಿಯು ಬಳಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ದದರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಂಗಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಶಾಲೆ, ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಮದ್ಯನದ ಶಾಲೆ. ಆದರಿಂದ ಶಾಲೆ ಮುಗಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ತಂಗಿ ಓಡುತ್ತ ಬಂದು ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಶೂ ರವಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈ ಮದ್ಯೆ ಬರುವ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ನೋಡಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಬೇಕು.

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ಭಾನುವಾರ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಲೇಖಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಗಿಯವರ ಎರಡು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನ ಅಂಕಿತ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದವರು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡಲು ಅನೇಕ ಗಣ್ಯಥಿ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ತಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಹಂಸಲೇಖ, ಶ್ರೀ ತ.ನ. ಸೀತಾರಾಂ, ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ಭಟ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಸುಬ್ಬಣ್ಣ, ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗತಿಹಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಮೋಹನ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕುಂಟಿನಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಗಿ (ಗಿರೀಶ್ ರಾವ್) ರವರ "ಚಿಟ್ಟೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಜಾಡು" ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗತಿಹಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ರವರು, ಅರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಿಂಜರಿತದಿಂದ ಜರ್ಜರಿತವಾದ ನಗರ ಜೀವನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಷಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೆಲವು ಮಾತಾಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಜೋಗಿರವರ "ಜೋಗಿಯ ಕಥೆಗಳು" ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಹಂಸಲೇಖ ರವರು, ತಿಳಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನ ರಂಜಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕುಂಟಿನಿ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ ತಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಜೋಗಿಯವರ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿನಗಳ ಸವಿಯನ್ನ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಗೆಳೆಯರಾದ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ , ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಅಣ್ಣ , ಪರಾಂಜಪೆ ಸರ್, ಶಾಮಕ್ಕ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಣ್ಣ, ವಿಕಾಸ್ ರವರ ಬೇಟಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ತರಹದ ಖುಷಿ ನೀಡಿತು. ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಗಣ್ಯರ ಹಸ್ತಾಕ್ಷರ ಪಡೆದು ಕೆಲವು ಗಣ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಫೋಟೋ ಕ್ಲಿಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಖರಿದಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ವಂದಿಸಿ ಅಮಿತನಂದದಿಂದ ಮಾಯವಾದೆ.

ವೇಮನ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ... ನಾನು ಓದಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ.. ಹತ್ತನೆ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ದರ್ಜೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತೇರ್ಗಡೆಗೊಂಡು, ಆಗು-ಹೀಗೂ ಡಿಪ್ಲೋಮಾ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದು ನಾನೆ ನಂಬಲು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ( ಉನ್ನತ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲ ಸ್ಥಾನ) ಹಾಗು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವನದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನ ತುಂಬಿ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ...

ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕಡಲೆಯಂತಿದ್ದ ಗಣಿತವನ್ನ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರದ್ದೆಯಿಂದ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಸರ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಸರ್. ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಯಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಗೀತ ಮೇಡಂ, ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿನ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಗುಣವನ್ನ ಬಯಲಿಗೆಳೆದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಚೆತ್ ಸರ್, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಗಳ್ಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಲು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಸಹಪಾಟಿಗಳು, ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ರಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ಯೆಲ್ಲ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ನನಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದುವ ಗೀಳನ್ನ ಹತ್ಹಿಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಂಥಪಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮೋಹನ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ...

ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದು ಮೊನ್ನೆ(20-May-2009) ನಡೆದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮಿಲನ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ. ತುಂಬ ಬಾವುಕನಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದು ಅದೇ ಮೊದಲು. ನಾನು ವಿದ್ಯಾಬ್ಯಾಸ ಪಡೆದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಎತ್ಹರಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಲಿ ಏನ್ನುವುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಆಸೆ...

ನಮಸ್ತೆ

ಒಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮುಡಿಬರುವುದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲೂ ನೆನೆದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ರೀತಿ ಇತ್ತು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತ್ ಅಣ್ಣನ "ಅಮ್ಮ ಹೇಳಿದ ಎಂಟು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳು" ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ. ಅಣ್ಣನ ಆಮಂತ್ರಣ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಮೇಲ್ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನನಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ದಿನದಂದೇ ನಾನು ಆ ದಿನವನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿಸಲಿಟ್ಟೆ....

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ೧೧ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ನಟ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಣ್ಣನ ನೋಡುವ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ೯.೩೦ ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಕಲಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುವಂಥಹ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಾಫರ್ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕರ್ಜುನರವರ ಬೇಟಿ ಆದದ್ದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ನಾನು ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಂತ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ಮತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಬಿತು ಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯಾ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಾಫರ್ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲ ನಾನು ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದು ಎನ್ನುವಷ್ಟು ಸರಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿ...

ನಂತರ ರವಿಯಣ್ಣ, ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ್ ಭಟ್, ಕೃಷ್ಣೆ ಗೌಡರ ಆಗಮನ. ಎಲ್ಲ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಗ್ಗಜರೆ.. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಶುರು ಆಗಿದು ಉಪಾಸನ ತಂಡದವರ ಸುಮಧುರ ಹಾಡುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ... ಇನ್ನು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತರವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ತನ್ನದಲ್ಲವೇನೋ ಅನ್ನೋ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ನೋಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ.

ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣೆ ಗೌಡರಿಂದ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ ತುಂಬ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂತು. ನಂತರ ಮಣಿಕಾಂತರವರು ತುಂಬ ಭಾವುಕರಾಗಿ ತಮಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತರ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಅಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಅನಂತರ ರವಿಯಣ್ಣ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಅಪ್ಪ-ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ನಗೆ ಚಟಾಕಿ ಹರಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತರ ಸಂಬಂದವನ್ನ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ-ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು... ಪ್ರಕಾಶಣ್ಣ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳುರಿಗೂ ಇರುವ ಸಂಬಂದವನ್ನ ತುಂಬಾ ಭಾವುಕರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಭಾವುಕತೆ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಟ್ಟರು ಸಹ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಭಾವುಕರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತರ ಒಡನಾಟವನ್ನ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಮಣಿಕಾಂತ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಸಭೆಯ ಎದುರಲ್ಲೇ ಎರಡು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ್ಳನ್ನು ತೇವಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದವು...

ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ದೈವಾಂಶ ಸಂಭೂಥರು ಆದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಹಾಗು ಪೂಜ್ಯನಿಯರಾದ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜನವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ನಮನಗಳು. ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ತುಂಬ ಅಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ತೀಡಿ ತಿದ್ದಿದಂಥಹವರು ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜ. ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ಹೀರೋ ಕೂಡ . ಹಣಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಜನ ಮುಖ್ಯ, ಮನೆಗಿಂತ ಊರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅನ್ನೋ ರೀತಿ ತನ್ನ ೮೪ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಸವಿದರು. ಇತೀಚಿಗೆ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಸ್ಥರಾದರು. ದೇಹ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮನಗಲಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳು ಸದಾ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ....

ಬಹುಷಃ ರವಿ ಬೆಳೆಗೆರೆಯವರ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಅಥವಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರ ಕನಸ್ಸು ಒಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ . ಅದು ಅವರನೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಪ್ ಟೀ ಕುಡಿದು, ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಹರಟೆ ಒಡೆಯುವುದು... ಅಂದು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು "ಹಾಯ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು" ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನಗೊಂದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಹಾಗು ಸಂತೋಷ ಎರಡು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಾದಿದ್ದವು , ರವಿ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಅಷ್ಟು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಾರಿ ರಿಯಾಯತಿ ಹಾಗು ಅಣ್ಣನ ಜೊತೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ... ನಾನು ಬಿಟ್ಟೆನೆ ಇಂತಹ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು...
ಅಂದು ಬುಧವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದು ನೇರ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ... ನಾನು ಹೋದಾಗ ಅಣ್ಣ ಏನೋ ಬರೆಯುತಿದ್ದ.. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದ ನಂತರ ನನನ್ನು ಹೊಳಗೆ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿ ಒಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಆದ ಸಂತೋಷ ಅಷ್ಟಿಷ್ಟಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಫೋಟೋ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು , ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಆಫೀಸ್ ಹುಡಿಗಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ನನ್ನನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಾನು ನೇರ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟೆ. ಅವರ ಮಾವನವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಪೂಜ್ಯಶ್ರೀ ಬೆಳೆಗೆರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರೆಂದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಪಂಚಪ್ರಾಣ... ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹರಟೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟಾಗ ಏನೋ ಕಂಡರಿಯದ ಅನುಭವ, ಸಂತೋಷ, ಸಡಗರ, ಆನಂದ. ಜೀವನ ಧನ್ಯ ಅನ್ನೋ ಭಾವನೆ ...

ಅಂದು ಶನಿವಾರ ೪ನೆ ಜನವರಿ ಅರ್.ವಿ. ಟೀಚೆರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ನ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ "ಯುವ ದಿನ "ವನ್ನು ಯೂತ್ ಫಾರ್ ಸೇವಾ ತಂಡವು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಅಣ್ಣನ (ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಸೂಲಿಬೆಲೆ) ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಹತೋರೆಯುತದ್ದ ನನಗೆ ಆ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಅಂದು ಅಣ್ಣ ಒಂದು ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ "ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ " ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಮನ ಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತೇವವಾಗಿದ್ದವು.

Barefoot Yogi---Journey from Bangalore to Kanipakam

Kanipakam is a village near Chittoor in Andra Pradesh. There is a Lord Vinayaka Temple. I am fascinated about that holy and sacred place. I often visit there alone. This time I accompanied with Srinath(My Brother).

To have different experience this time I decided not to wear footwear. So we started our journey in the early morning 5:30 on 26-Oct-08. We reached Central Bus Station by 6:30, we sipped cup of tea and got into bus. It took us 4 hours to reach Chittoor from there its again 20minutes bus journey to reach the holy place.

Since it was Sunday there was unusual Crowd in the temple. There was three separate queues one for free darshanam, another for 10Rs Darshan and the special one for 51Rs payers. Since I was not interested to bribe god we got into free darshanam Q. It took 2hrs to have Darshanam. I also clicked some pics of kids whose heads being shaved (Which is a belief in South India, Giving hairs to god before having first hair cut). Its nice to see lots of shaved heads (not only kids even elders will...). After finishing darshanam we did some shopping and after having lunch we left Kanipakam.

It was nice experience walking all around without footwear.......

Do you want to check your Patience Level.Then visit your nearest S****B***I**** bank.Yes,this is what I experienced when I had been to bank yesterday(03-Nov-08,Monday). After a long time I had been to bank to deposit some cash. When I entered the premises the Token machine was shouting a number 34, So when I pressed the button of token issuing machine,I recieved a token which had a no.129,I astonished for a while. So there was no other way,I have to wait for my number to be shouted.

So I eagerly waited for my turn for more than 30 minutes yelling "Mera Number Kab Aayegaaaaa". Finally when machine started calling "Token No.120",I was bit relaxed. It was finally my turn. My transaction took only 3 minutes. So I came out from the branch with some sense of Achievement...

Journey with Students......

It's yet again a great Sunday(05_Oct_08) of my life. As part of our Nature Club activity we planned to have bird watching trip. We decided to visit Kokkare Bellur a bird sanctuary in Mandya District (its 80km from Bangalore). So we started our journey at 6:00am along with 60 students. We stopped for breakfast at Kamat hotel. For the first time in my life I saw the different hotel environment. The speciality of that hotel was the waiter's dress code, they were wearing a purely Indian Customs(Dothi,Kachha Pizama, Gandhi Cap).

Fortunately I met my Yoga Guru Sri Raghavendra Shenoy Ji and Sri Chakravarti Sulebele at the restaurant.

Then we re-started our journey. We reached a place called Tyloor Lake. There we had a introductory talk by our Secretary Sri Narayan Manay on Bird Watching Methods. I got to know so many things from that...
I knew that there are 1200 bird species in India. We found out 42 species on this trip. My students were so en thrilled and humble to know many things about birds. Than we moved to Kokkare Bellur. Unfortunately we could not find any birds there. Because it is not a Migration period for birds(Dec-July is the period).

So with a sad faces we retained our journey. On the way we found a canal of Cauvery River. Our students wanted to have some fun there. So we all got into the river with the help of some villagers ( we are thankful for there support). They had a wonderful moment out there.

Than on the way back to Bangalore, since we all were hungry we braked for Lunch at Hotel Indraprastha. After having lunch I fell sleep. We reached our college at 4:00pm. All students were happy with the trip.

Great Sunday(21-Sept-08)

This sunday will remain as one of the best sunday in my life. It become so special because I attended one of the best workshop on personality development. Which was conducted by Viveka Hamsa and they named it as Hanate[Light].

There were many speakers and they blossomed the occassion with their knowledge source.

It was held at N.M.K.R.V Auditorium-Mangala Mantapa. It was scheduled from morning 8:00am to evening 6:00pm. I reached the arena by 7:45,there had arranged for breakfast. After having breakfast I stepped in to the auditorium. Programme started with reciting Sri Vishnu Sahasrama(which is trend in all Ramakrishna Mutt programme) from disciples of Mutt followed by that we had Bhajans form Sri Swami Swarthatma Nandaji Maharaj.

Them programme officially started by lightening the lamp(which is Indian Culture) by Sri Swami Harshanandji President of Ramakrishana Mutt Bangalore. While addressing the gathering(1200+) he cited that
"Clarity of Understanding is more important than marks"
"Avoid Imitation mania"

Following that we had a talk on the topic "Responsibility of Youth in Nation Building" by Swami Japanandaji. Than we had a tea break.

After that we had a talk on "Positive Thinking" given by Prof.Sri Raghothamma Rao. He gave some tips to be positive those are
- Keep Smiling
- Be Proactive
- Be enthusiastic
- Always be cheerful
- Have faith
- Always be calm
- Always be communicative
- Always be Creative
- Develop good sense of Humuour

Than we had a talk by S.Shadakshari[Kshna Hottu Hani Muttu fame] on time management. He gave some simple timps for time management:
1. Prepare To-Do List everyday in the morning
2. Fix some time for each activity in the list
3. Prioritize the tasks.
4. Plan for days/weeks ahead.
5. Carry a small size note books.
6. Desire befor you start doing things.
7. Keep improving.
8. Use some time saving facilities
9. Respect your parents
10. Be far from time killing hobbies.

After that we had a talk on "Prosporous Society-Safe Country" by Chakravarthy Sulibele. As soon as he stepped on to the diaz the students gave him a warm applause for more than 5 minutes.

As soon as he started speaking some sort of unknown power started flowing in the auditorium. That is why he got huge fan following.
Than we had a delicious lunch. Following that just for a change from the routine talks we had a mucic concert by Music director Sri Praveen.D.Rao and his team. It was mind blasting performance....
Than we had a talk by Sri Hiremagalur Kannan[known as Kannadada Pujari, Kannan Mama] on the topic " Life is a candle". I will write one more article about him...
Following that we had a talk on "Simple_Living-Extraordinary_Enlightening" by Paramapujya mathaji Vivekamayi...
We came to the end of the wonderful programme... We had aarthi(puja at the end) and prasada...

Affect of Inflation on Peppermint

Recently I had been to an exhibition which has put up a sale in our area. I went to buy some gift articles. While I was coming across each shop (there were more than 50 shops of varieties), I used to see wide range of collections. The one shop which dragged my attention was the condiments shop. I saw so many varieties and finally I picked of a Peppermint packet (small piece of chocolate, which you don’t get in super markets) . I thought it would cost us around 5 bugs but when I asked the shopkeeper he said it is 15 bugs (for hardly 30 pcs). I was shocked...

When we were kids (i.e. when we were in 5th or 6th standard) we use to buy the same peppermints for 10ps each. Later I realized this might be the affect of Inflation. This is a major concern all these days.

I just wanted to remember my childhood days. I bought that without having a second thought. We enjoyed not because of its taste but coz of memories…

Teachers Day Celebrations

Till this year, every September 5th I used wish all my teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. Which is the birth day of our Former President and Renowned Teacher Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishna . As usual I wished all my teachers in the morning by sending messages and calling few of them.

But this year it was so special for me as well. I celebrated this being a full fledged lecturer. My students wished me on this auspicious occasion

I have chosen this profession because of its nobleness. I believe in my own dialogue “Innovating the Innovators and Inventors” is the job of any lecturer (not just explaining what’s there in text books). That’s what I actually doing by being a lecturer... I love my students a lot. That is the age where they need support and encouragement to their thoughts. If we ignite their minds they will be the strength of this country.

Raksha Bandhan

All these days, I believed in a fact that the Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi) is celebrated between brothers and sisters. After I joined Sangha Parivar I learnt that, it can be celebrated by anyone who cares for each other. Rakhi is celebrated by tying the holy thread to each other.
Raksha Bandhan means a bond of protection,love and care. There are many stories on how it’s started. I will narrate few of them.
1. Indra's fight with Vritra - Indra, the king of devtas (gods), had lost his kingdom to the asura (demon) Vritra. At the behest of his Guru Brihaspati, Indra's wife Shachi tied a thread around her husband's wrist to ensure his victory in the upcoming duel.
2. Draupadi and Krishna during the Rajsuya yagya - After Shishupal's death, Krishna was left with a bleeding finger. Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas, had torn a strip of silk off her sari and tied it around Krishna's wrist to stop the flow of blood. Touched by her concern, Krishna had declared himself bound to her by her love. He further promised to repay the debt many fold. Many years later when Draupudi was about to be shamed by being disrobed in front of the whole court by her evil brother-in-law Duryodhana, she called on Krishna to help her, and he did by divinely elongating her sari so it could not be removed.
But in Sangha Parivar we believe every one in this country belongs to same family and it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect each other to build a strong nation….

This year we celebrated this festival at many places. More than 20 people tied me a Rakhi.

Visit to Kumata

On 10-July-08 along with 7 other friends I started my journey at 8:00pm. Since, we were on sleeper coach I couldn’t peep in to the outside world. After a hour journey we thought we are somewhere near Tumkur. When the driver stopped for some pickups I heard that we are still in the city.
Since I was not feeling well I went to sleep early thinking that the bus will stop for dinner around 11.OOpm. But he stopped around 1:30pm, so I was not interested and I continued my sleep. When I woke up at 6:00 in the morning , I was just amazed by seeing the beauty of the nature. We got down near the hotel were they had booked rooms for us. This is in the outskirts of Kumta. After freshen up we went for a walk. Since we were supposed to attend the marriage of our friend we went to Wedding hall with the help of local transportation.
The climate in the city was too hot coz it was a coastal area. We met few other friends in the hall, and we spent some good time with them. After having lunch we came back to our hotel. I was so sad coz when there is a scarcity of food why the people are wasting lot of food. Few of them went for sightseeing. And few of us had some commitments for the next day, we left Kumta by 6:00pm bus. I hope along with the seats we booked some bed bugs as well. When I was sleeping they started itching all-around. I was fed up with that and I changed 5 seats in my journey. Finally we reached back this concrete city by next day morning 5:00 am. And we disbursed to our places after enjoying a wonderful trip.

Visit to Bidar with American Volunteer Akshay

Our journey to Bidar began as we first made our way to the bus stop. Ramesh swiftly drove us through the traffic ridden streets of Bangalore and insured our punctual arrival at the bus stop. The bus left promptly at 8:00 PM. Youth For Seva had booked us two seats on a Volvo sleeper bus. We did not have traditional seats, but rather beds placed above the seats. The bed was decievingly comfortable. This was an appropriate choice for the journey was to be overnight. After 11.5 hours of travelling, we finally arrived in Bidar at 7:30 AM.
We got out of the bus and all of the books and bags were already properly stacked awaiting our arrival. Thankfully there were two autorickshaws right at the bus stop so we placed all the books and bags in one vehicle and travelled in another vehicle. We first went to a private school named Sarasvathi Vidhya Mandira. The staff there placed us in a room which was adjacent to the conference room. It was in there where we freshened up and changed clothes. One of the staff members had brought us a breakfast which consisted of upit, idli, and sambar. After the hearty breakfast, we had what could quite possibly be the most delicious Chai Tea that I had ever tasted. All the ingredients were in perfect proportion. When we walked outside of the room, all the children were eating lunch. But their manner of eating is that which I have never seen before. They all sat in circles of similar radii. They all shared their food so essentially they brought food not for themselves but for the group. This usually does not happen in the United States. After taking some pictures we were off to Ravindra Higher Primary school, the location of the school kit drive.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by 20 to 30 children. Three of the children helped us take the books and bags inside. After exchanging pleasantries with the staff at the school, we immediately started to pack the school kits. We had to pack 100 school kits, and this would normally take us 1.5 hours. With the help of the three children, we were able to finish the packing in 40 minutes. After the packing, we attended the program that was taking place on the second floor of the school. Swamiji Sri Jnanendra Ji was lecturing the students there about how one should live a happy and healthy life. After the lecture the Swamiji thanked us and presented us with a gift. The gift consisted of a scarf and a copy of the Bhagavad Gita in Kannada. This was followed by a program given by the children.
A little girl dressed up as Krishna started off the program by reciting a verse from the Bhagavad Gita. Then four children dressed up as icons from Indian history, including Swami Viveknananda, delivered a monologue. This was followed by two dances performed by little girls. The staff thanked us once again for the school kits and then Naveen gave an enthralling speech. Then the staff began calling the students who were to receive the school kits. The look on the students face was pure, unadulterated joy. I was never able to fathom how much joy such a gift could bring to a deserving individual. Then we took pictures of everyone. All of the children joyfully took their bags and went home after the program was done. We were taken to the first floor to have lunch.
Just like all hospitable people, they fed us until we could not eat anymore. After some rest, Smt Kalavathi and Swarnakka took us sightseeing. The first place we visited was Sri Jharni Narasimha temple. This was unlike any temple that I had seen before. The statue Lord Narasimha was inside of a cave. In order to see the diety one had to walk through the cave which contained water that was 3 feet deep and bats lined all along its walls. Unfortunately we did not get to go inside the cave because did not have a change of clothes. After this, we went to Gurunanak Jharni. We got to see where the Gurunanak placed his foot so that the water spouted out. Then we went to a garden that had incredible views. After taking some breathtaking pictures we headed to the bus stop to come back to Bangalore.

Don't burn DVD's in multisession...

I never thought this will happen.. I was so sad when I was unable to see the pics which I have written on DVD. The reason was I burnt that DVD in multiple Sessions. Somehow I managed to fetch 70% of data using Isobuster software. I suggest you to not burn DVD in multiple sessions.

Usually, I love to travel in our BMTC buses(even when it is crowded), because I will get a chance to see different kind of people. Unfortunately yesterday one girl sat next to me with her father. (Approximately she would be 4yrs old). Her name was Kavya. I love to play or talk with kids ,we had a very good conversation, it was like this:

Me: yenamma nin hesaru (what's ur name)

she: Kavya (with cute smile :) )

Me: schoolige hoghtiya (Do you go to school)

she: howdu (yes)

Me: yav schoolu ( which school)

She: kannada cool (means Kannada medium)

Me: nimm school elli irodu ( Where is your school located)

She: nam mane athra ( near to my house)

Me: nim mane elli irodu ( where is ur house located)

She: nam cool athra (near to my school)

Me: yen yen heli kodthare nim teacheruu( what your teacher teach U )

She: a,b,c,d, 123, a,aa,e,ee

Me: aata helkodalva ( dont they teach U games)

she: hoon, helkodtare ( ya, they teach)

And I got my stop, I ended the conversation by saying bye. She smiled and asked what's Ur name. and she invited me to her house ( "Uncle" namm manege banni).

Nice Play- Home Rulu by T.P.Kailasam

After a long time I had been to watch a play at Ranga Shankara (www.rangashankara.org). I astonished when I saw the long queue in front of theatre. I am happy that ppl of Bangalore still have the interest in Drama culture. After 10min spent in queue I stepped into the theatre where in the entrance they said "sir mobile switch off maadi".
It was like double damaka offer for me because along with the play we had an opportunity to listen to T.P Kailasam songs.
Before the start of the play, we had an introduction about Sri T.P.Kailasam and followed by songs sung by Sai Thejas, songs were "Nannu Kolikeranga","Tipparahalli balu doora" and "Kashigodha Namm Bhava".
After that the play started , from the beginning till the end we could't stopped laughing, such an excellent performance from Antaranga Artists.

I would like to share one thing, which changed my attitude about the life completely. I was just a Happy go Lucky guy, who was never caring for anyone...
One fine day my friend insisted me to read a book. Usually I never used to read a books, to not hurt my friend forcefully I started reading dat book. I sat for 4 long hours reading it without looking at the watch. It was so interesting book.. I learnt what is a real life means. The story is all about a women who takes every obstacle as a challenge and strives odd to get rid of it. Which gradually changed my mindset and made me what I am today. The book was "Gruhabanga" written by Sri S.L.Byrappa. After reading that book (I think around in the mid of 2001), till now I read more than 500 odd books. I cultivate this as a habit.. Now books have become a best friends of mine. I never feel alone in my life. I am planning to setup a library of my own....

The school reopened in June, and we settled in our new desks and benches!
When we queued up in book depot, and got our new books and notes!
When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays,
Yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.
We learnt writing with slates and pencils, and
Progressed To fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips!
When we began drawing with crayons and evolved to Col or pencils and finally s ketc h pens!
When we started calculating first with tables and then withClarke's tables and advanced to Calculators and computers!
When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms Drenched in sweat!
When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors, Playgrounds, under the trees and even in cycle sheds!When all the colors in the world, Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays!
When a single P.T. period in the week's Time TableWas awaited more eagerly than the monsoons!
When cricket was played with writing pads as bats, and Neckties and socks rolled into balls!
When few played "kabadi" and "Kho-Kho" in scorching sun, while others simply played "book cricket" in the Confines of classroom! Of fights but no conspiracies, Of Competitions but seldom jealousy!
When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast, in the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks!
When few rushed at 3:45 to "Conquer" window seats in our School bus! While few others had "Big Fun", "peppermint", "kulfi", " milk ice !" and "sharbat !" at 4o Clock!
Gone are the days
Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day, and the one-month long preparations for them.
Gone are the days
Of the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Exams, and the most enjoyed holidays after them!
Gone are the days
Of tenth and twelfth standards, when we Spent almost the whole year writing revision tests!
We learnt,
We enjoyed,
We played,
We won,
We lost,
We laughed,
We cried,
We fought,
We thought.
With so much fun in them, so many friends,
So much experience, all this and more!
Gone are the days
When we used to talk for hours with our friends! Now we don't have time to say a 'Hi'!
Gone are the days
When we played games on the road! Now we Code on the road with laptop!
Gone are the days
When we saw stars Shining at Night! Now we see stars when our code doesn't Work!
Gone are the days
When we sat to chat with Friends on grounds!Now we chat in chat rooms.....!
Gone are the days Where we studied just to pass!
Now we study to save our job!
Gone are the days
Where we had no money in our pockets and still fun filled on our hearts!!
Now we have the atm as well as credit card but with an empty heart!!
Gone are the days
Where we shouted on the road! Now we don't shout even at home
Gone are the days
Where we got lectures from all!Now we give lectures to all... like the one I'm doing now....!!
Gone are the days
But not the memories, which will be Lingering in our hearts for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever .....
Gone are the Days.... But still there are lot more Days to come in our Life!!
